Amazon Jungle: Transformative and Intense
After our ‘transformative’ first week of Amazonian herb lessons and flora-fauna teachings, our ‘intense’ second week’s 5-day H2H clinic experience began. The covered, open space we were given was certainly a challenge, however, this team tackled the assignment non-flinchingly.
A few images are attached. Patients came from far up and down the River Itaya (a tributary of the Amazon River). The crowds grew exponentially numerous over the week, as word spread about the positive benefits that patients received. Approximately 350 were treated in H2H style: a combo of Reiki, auricular (“Battlefield” and NADA), with individualized body treatments.
We gave our best and were rewarded by multiple repeat patients. A long-awaited video about our program is in the works. Your donations of needles helped immensely; Happily, we have enough supplies now to bring to Guatemala to do clinic this Dec 2011 and April 2012 as we continue supporting the Peten and Quiche communities with acupuncture treatments and training in community care!
