Are you ready to work seriously with indigenous medicine? Apply to join Healer2Healer this August to Iquitos, Peru. The program begins August 15 and ends August 28, 2011. Please get to Iquitos by August 14. Please see travel note.

Iquitos is a town in Northern Peru where The Amazon Rainforest begins. There are no roads. To get there, you must take a boat via the River Talla, a mule over the mountains, or a small plane from Lima.

This experience is not a touristic one. We are working with indigenous medicine in this and other regions and have had significant, fully-documented results with curing cancer, diabetes, and various other terminal illnesses.

In order to even begin to understand the tradition in the rainforest, it requires at least 3 ceremonies done within a 2 week period. After just one ceremony, many issues and toxins–both emotional and physical–might come to the surface. You might need additional time and work to complete the healing… There are plenty of organizations that do tours, so you might be better off contacting them if you are only interested in a vacation.

If you really want to bring some benefit to the native indigenous people and are receptive to actually healing yourself on a deeper level, learn from priceless ancestral wisdom, and evolve in the process, then you are welcome.

One thing we caution about is proliferating spiritual consumerism. We do not want to attract people who do not really understand or appreciate the work we are doing nor do we want to serve superficial expectations of Western vacationers. This is a serious endeavor. In the village near Iquitos there are a few thousand people. More information about the 1 or 2 community clinics will be posted as we receive it. They will be over 4 or 5 days.

Participants are responsible for booking their own flights. The best way to travel to Iquitos is via Lima, Peru. It is usually cheapest to fly to Lima and book a separate flight from Lima to Iquitos via a local Peruvian airline (such as Peruvian Airlines, LAN, or Star Peru). Lima-Iquitos flights usually run around US$100-$150 round trip.

All particpants should arrive in Iquitos, Peru on or before August 14, 2011. Meeting Time on August 14 is 1:30pm for anyone arriving in the morning and 7:30pm pickup at the Iquitos Airport (Corresponding with Peruvian Airlines Flight #122 which departs Lima at 5:30pm & arrives in Iquitos at 7:10pm.

Cost covers lodging, food and a field trip to visit a tribal village as well as “Treating Indigenous Populations” lecture and clinic prep, and letter of participation for LAc NCCAOM PDA/CEU pending.

Ceremonies are charged separately per session at $70-$120 each.

These prices have been negotiated to reflect the clinic work that H2H brings to these communities.
